Using your ISP's SMTP setting.
If you currently have your email client (e.g. Outlook) sending mail via a WiseInternet server (e.g. mail.yourdomain.com.au) you will need to change your "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" to your ISP's SMTP setting.
Below is a list of SMTP settings for various Australian ISPs.
- AAPT: mail.aapt.net.au
- Bigpond: mail.bigpond.com
- Dodo: smtp.dodo.com.au
- iiNet: mail.m.iinet.net.au
- Internode: mail.internode.on.net
- iPrimus: smtp.iprimus.com.au
- OntheNet: mail.onthenet.com.au
- Optusnet: mail.optusnet.com.au
- Ozemail: smtp.ozemail.com.au
- Three (3G Mobile): smtp.three.com.au
- TPG: mail.tpg.com.au
- Unwired: esmtp.unwired.com.au
- Vodafone 3G: smtp.vodafone.net.au
- Westnet: mail.westnet.com.au
If the above settings do not work or your ISP is not listed, please contact your ISP.
Changing your Outgoing mail server (SMTP) in Outlook 2007
The following steps are for changing SMTP details in Outlook 2007. Go to Outlook 2003 steps.
1. Select Tools > Account Settings... from the menu.
2. Highlight the desired account and click the Change link.
3. Change the "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" field to your ISP's SMTP settings.
Changing your Outgoing mail server (SMTP) in Outlook 2003
The following steps are for changing SMTP details in Outlook 2003. Go to Outlook 2007 steps.
1. Select Tools > E-mail Accounts... from the menu.
2. Under the E-mail category select "View or change existing e-mail accounts" then press the Next button.
3. Highlight the desired account and click the Change button.
4. Change the "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" field to your ISP's SMTP settings.
